This Laceleaf Japanese Maple is potted in a brown scoop bonsai pot with a drainage hole. The tree measures 15" tall from the soil line and has a total span of 20" from side to side. It has a wonderful curve with clusters of leaves and is top-dressed with brown river gravel and one large rock.  
 
Although Japanese maple trees can be large, they can be grown indoors in containers and used in the art of Bonsai.  However, it should not be overwintered insdie a warm house.  Keep the plant outdoors with some winter protection or keep inside a cool garage or shed.  They will loose some or all thier leaves over the winter months but will come back in brighter color in the spring.
